Change in
D.C. Change is good. Change is constant.
New stuff
happening this spring:
Free
Water:
Available continuously if you
provide a re-usable vessel for drinking. No
paper cups will be filled.
The
Artists:
Every year you will see new
talent at the festival. Mix it up. Expand your
horizons. See performers you may not normally
see at other fests. Aside from the Loyd Family
Players (08), Ganga Giri (05, 07), and
Medicine Drum (03), all the performers are
coming to Joshua Tree for the first time to rock
your free world.
More
Shade:
Find 3,000 sq. ft. more shade
flying overhead in the music bowl this year for
a total of 13,000 sq ft. Right over the stage
out above the audience. What other
festivals have shade right up to the stage so
you can dig your favorite band up close in
comfort in the daytime?
Lux
Lounge:
Rancho Relaxo Oasis Spa-esque healing chill zone
by day, toe tapping ambient laid back lounge by
night. Home to a JavaGogo Organic Bevvie Bar and
otherworldy fairies.
Arte
del Lago: Mind blowing Art
installations will surround the lake area.
Interactive, 3D, lit and smoking. A phenomenal
roster of artists cultivate their eccentricities
and make us all richer for having witnessed
their creations.
Chill
Station Zebra: A thousand
square feet of space between the two stages in
the music bowl; fully covered, swamp coolers and
mister fans blowing, cool bevvies served up.
Cool down after a sweaty dance session.....
Boogaloo Saloon:
Cool refreshing organic
microbrews & vino on tap in the music bowl.
Festival Olympics:
aka
Random Technical Challenges. Decathlon no
less. Rise up in the spirit of insane fun and
absurdly wicked skill & knowledge taxing events.
Prizes and hilarity guaranteed. |
